this speck of dust

ahhh .. at a time like this
the chaotic world of butterflies flapping wings
is as exciting as a canvas for a
jackson pollock
frida kahlo
wassily kandinsky
but i too am contented merely meditating on an uncarved stone
immersed in the hypnosis of a whirling dancer
closing my eyes letting my other self levitate
or sitting in a cave in the midnight in the middle of a desert
where sandstorms rage
awaiting for the patterns on that vast and mute wasteland to emerge
patterns carved by verses gloriously sung to a tune not a single soul could hear -- except that of mine
a mandelbrott of sheer simplicity i shall become
at a time like this
wherein endless fractals of a speck of dust evolve
