what a beautiful world

"  what a beautiful world"
by azly rahman

beautiful world

it seems
we live in
in colors of rainbow
illuminating, blinding colors
through a glass window looking
a window pane
... of a nature preserved
a world of glass though
as real as maya
as illusionary as nature's reflection on a glass wall
of a jungle made of concrete
of a manhattan ecosophy balancing itself
to be in harmony
to be one
with nature
what have we said to the spirits?
to the souls
to the goblins
to the creatures unseen
to the living and breathing cells of the
green lungs of this world of true colors?
what did we say to them
that made them go away?
so that we may worship in peace
our neon gods
dictators divinely inspired
prophets of doom
angels from hell
priests with hidden porns in their gowns
mullahs with madness metastasizing
why did the spirits of the
trees
rivers
brooks
valleys
mountains
oceans
earth
fire
water
leave us?
because we have fallen in love
with a nature
ruled by vultures

The magnificient colours of the rainbow is perfect because it was designed that way. Not more, not less, but in its perfect way. Focus on one colour, and another will fade away. Then the rainbow will cease to be as wonderous and spectacular as was designed to be. The world, with only a brown colour flower, will not be as beautiful as when it has yellow, blue, ember, violet flowers. That is man, in his imperfect way who chooses to be myopic and narrow in his choices. And some have taken it a step further. And it is to hate the other colours of the rainbow.
