Goodnight darkness, goodnight kindness

There is

A sense of indescribable beauty

In the anatomy of silence

In the brilliance of darkness

Of the joyful dance of the flame

Of the flickering candle as it greets midnight

In silence lies the true meaning of conversations

Even with

Even within

Oneself

...Let there be no light

At times when neon gods congregate

Let there be no television in sight

When the inner self is free from false images that mediate

Hello darkness my old friend

I've come to talk with you again

Said the new york city sages

The sound of silence is a beauteous moment

Of thoughts unspoken

Only memories

Becomes an epic story

Told in an unending proportion

Only the self knows

The profundity of the narration

O candle flickering bright

A metaphor you are

Of the journey of this supreme light

Goodnight darkness

Goodnight kindness

Let there be no light

At times when brighter is one

On the inside .... -- ar

This is a time of deep cleansing, whether or not we're ready for it.
